Cultivating Knowledge
At Bungoma Chemist & Veterinary, we believe that a thriving community starts with a thriving farm. While Bungoma is a rich agricultural region, we recognized a significant gap in the technical support available to our local farmers.
In 2016, we launched the first Kilimo Expo to bridge that gap. We saw that while livestock keeping and crop farming are the lifeblood of our town, there was a deep need for education on modern essentials like soil quality, the proper use of herbicides, and advanced animal husbandry.
Why We Started the Expo
The Kilimo Expo was born out of a partnership with the agricultural community to:

Move beyond the counter to provide hands-on training for farmers.
Innovate
Introduce modern, efficient farming methods that increase yields and improve livestock health.
Connect
Create a space where farmers can learn directly from experts and industry leaders.
Through these expos, we have seen firsthand the incredible potential of our local farmers when they are equipped with the right knowledge and tools.
Looking Ahead: Kilimo Expo 2027
After a brief hiatus, we are thrilled to announce that the Kilimo Expo is returning in 2027.
Agriculture has evolved, and so have the challenges facing our community. The 2027 Expo will be our most ambitious yet, focusing on sustainable practices, climate-smart farming, and the latest innovations in veterinary care.
