Bungoma Chemist began with a vision to do more than simply dispense medicine. It started as a commitment to the people of Bungoma. Established in 1984 by Dr. Jamila Salim and Dr. Amin Ali, the journey began with Bungoma Chemist Pharmacy, serving as one of the very first professional healthcare landmarks in our growing town.
As the years passed and we grew alongside the community, we noticed a vital gap in the local landscape. We saw a pressing need for professional, reliable support for the region’s livestock and agriculture—a need that was deeply tied to the livelihood and well-being of the community.
Driven by this service-to-society mindset, we expanded our expertise to launch Bungoma Veterinary in 1984. What began as a dedicated human pharmacy evolved into a dual-pillar healthcare institution, ensuring that both the families and the animals of Bungoma have a trusted place to turn.
