Bungoma Chemist began with a vision to do more than simply dispense medicine. It started as a commitment to the people of Bungoma. Established in 1984 by Dr. Jamila Salim, Dr. Amin Ali, and Dr. Mohamud Said, the journey began with Bungoma Chemist Pharmacy — one of the very first professional healthcare landmarks in our growing town.
As the years passed and we grew alongside the community, we noticed a vital gap. We saw a pressing need for professional, reliable support for the region's livestock and agriculture — a need tied deeply to the livelihood and well-being of the community. Driven by this service-to-society mindset, we launched Bungoma Veterinary in 1986.
What began as a dedicated human pharmacy evolved into a multi-pillar institution, ensuring that both the families and the animals of Bungoma have a trusted place to turn. Today, we remain a family-owned practice bridging human and animal health — grounded in the same values of integrity and compassion that our founders started with over thirty years ago.
